Never judge the entire story of your life by one difficult chapter.

There will be chapters containing disappointment.

Chapters containing grief.

Chapters when people leave.

Chapters when money gets tight.

Chapters when the plan falls apart.

Chapters when you wonder whether all your hard work has accomplished anything.

But a chapter is not a conclusion.

Psalm 30:5 gives us one of Scripture’s most powerful reminders: “weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.”

Notice that Scripture acknowledges the night.

Faith does not require pretending that difficult things do not hurt. Christianity does not mean smiling through every disappointment and claiming everything feels wonderful.

Sometimes you cry.

Sometimes you become tired.

Sometimes you need to sit quietly before God and admit, “Lord, this hurts.”

But night has a limitation built into its very definition.

Morning comes.

Your present circumstances are real, but they are not necessarily permanent.

The person experiencing difficulty today may become the person encouraging someone else tomorrow.

The struggle teaching you patience today may become the testimony strengthening another person later.

The business that is growing slowly may eventually become the opportunity you once prayed for.

The dream that seems delayed may simply be developing.

Keep writing.

Keep praying.

Keep learning.

Keep believing.

Keep showing up.

God has not placed a period where He intends to write a comma.
