Isaiah 58:11 · KJV
“And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.”
The watered garden is a beautiful picture of God’s sustaining care. In Isaiah 58, it belongs to a larger call to sincere worship expressed through justice, generosity, and care for others. The chapter connects devotion to daily life. The phrase “make fat thy bones” uses the older language of the KJV to describe strengthening and nourishment.
As seasonal routines change, make space for both receiving and giving. Read slowly enough to reflect. Enjoy a meal with gratitude. Offer practical help to someone. Renewal can become visible in a patient response, a generous act, or renewed willingness to serve. Today, ask God to nourish your inner life and let that care flow through your hands into someone else’s day.
